Region Martin County

Martin County, established in 1925 and named after Governor John W. Martin, is known for its rich history and natural beauty. Originally home to the Ais tribe, the area grew with European settlement, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse, and the Florida East Coast Railway. Today, it is celebrated for its environmental preservation and historical charm, with Stuart known as the “Sailfish Capital of the World.”
