Ashley Glass anchors WPTV Morning News weekdays from 4:30 a.m. to 7 a.m. and produces in-depth reports across all WPTV platforms.
She hit the ground running when she joined WPTV in 2022, covering the destruction of Hurricane Ian in southwest Florida and delivering live reports from the Treasure Coast in the very moments Hurricane Nicole made landfall.
Ashley covered the Florida execution of a man convicted of murder decades prior and shared compelling stories from family and friends of the victims in the WPTV true crime special "Bad Things Can Happen to Good People." She also hosted and co-produced the EMMY-winning documentary "The Missing Piece," which examines three cold cases with ties to a mall in Boca Raton. In one of the most heartfelt stories of her career, Ashley reflected on a decade since two teens vanished at sea in the documentary "Jupiter Lost Boys."

Her enthusiasm for the WPTV Let's Hear It community meet-ups is unmatched. Ashley helped launch this transformative way of gathering and telling local stories. She got results for a nonprofit being priced out of their warehouse and a woman struggling to keep up with bills related to her volunteer work.
Prior to joining the station, Ashley worked as a national correspondent for Scripps, the parent company of WPTV. She traveled the country to tell stories about plastic pollutants harming wildlife, long COVID-19 research, mental health resources for children and military veterans, shrinking coral reefs and much more.
Ashley has also worked on-air in Tampa, Gainesville and central Illinois.
She's covered many significant news events across Florida, including the Surfside condo collapse, the Gulf oil spill and recovery, the Casey Anthony trial, the final launch of Shuttle Discovery and the case against George Zimmerman.

Ashley is the daughter of a retired Navy pilot and is extremely proud of her family's service to our great country. One of her favorite moments as a journalist goes back to early in her career when Ashley flew at supersonic speeds with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as her father watched from the tarmac.
She graduated from the University of Florida with honors and dual degrees in telecommunication-news and political science.
Ashley resides in the West Palm Beach area with her husband and two daughters. As a family, they love supporting local. If you see Ashley and her crew at the beach, a mom-and-pop restaurant or farmers market, please say hello and tip her off to your favorite local spots.
