Joel Lopez is an Emmy Award-winning reporter with WPTV, dedicated to listening to community members in Palm Beach, St. Lucie, Indian River, and Okeechobee Counties.
He's a Palm Beach County native and a first-generation college graduate from the University of Florida.

Joel began his broadcasting career at WPTV in 2015, then spent two years in Waco, Texas, where he was a weekend anchor and reporter covering the Central Texas market.
He later returned to his hometown station at WPTV, where he focuses on solutions-based journalism and brings a modern approach to storytelling for both broadcast and social media platforms.
Joel can most often be found grabbing lunch at Chipotle or walking around downtown West Palm Beach.
