Ashley Glass 2022

Ashley Glass

WPTV

Reporter

Ashley Glass, a highly-regarded journalist with nearly two decades of experience, is very excited to join the WPTV team.

Prior to joining the station, Ashley worked as a national correspondent for Scripps, the parent company of WPTV. She traveled the country to tell stories about plastic pollutants harming wildlife, long COVID-19 research and fascinating cases, Juneteenth celebrations, mental health resources for children and military veterans, shrinking coral reefs weakening natural defenses against hurricanes and much, much more.

She's also worked on-air in Tampa, Gainesville and central Illinois.

Throughout her career, Ashley has covered many significant news events across the state of Florida, including the devastation of Hurricane Ian, the Surfside condo collapse, the Gulf oil spill and recovery, the Casey Anthony trial, the final launch of Shuttle Discovery and the case against George Zimmerman.

Ashley is the daughter of a retired Navy pilot and is extremely proud of her family's service to our great country. One of her favorite moments as a journalist goes back to early in her career — when Ashley flew at supersonic speeds with the U.S. Navy Blue Angels as her father watched from the tarmac.

She graduated from the University of Florida with honors and dual degrees in telecommunication-news and political science.

Ashley resides in the West Palm Beach area with her husband and two young daughters. In her free time, you'll find Ashley and her family enjoying the beautiful beaches, eating at mom-and-pop restaurants or swinging, sliding and ziplining at area parks. Be sure to stop and say hello, and you can always contact Ashley on social media.
