Officials from the county located just north of Tampa posted Tuesday on their Facebook page a massive pile of mosquitoes they killed in about 16 hours from one trap.
The said the trap was set up from 3 p.m. to 7 a.m., and usually they will catch about 500 mosquitoes. However, on this occasion they caught about 26,000, including 10 different species!
The agency said some of the species were capable of transmitting diseases, so it's a good reminder to take precaution outdoors, especially at night.
