Deputies in Martin County said a toddler wearing pajamas was found Thursday morning roaming along a busy area of Mapp Road in Palm City.
Detectives said they later located the child's parents, who will not be charged.
The sheriff said a pin to lock a door wasn't secure, allowing the child to get outside.
The toddler was likely wandering for an hour before deputies brought the child back home.
