A South Florida chapter of professional chefs made a large donation to local organizations to feed the hungry in our area on Saturday.
The Chefs Association of Palm Beach County donated $10,000 to Cheney Brothers’ hospitality fund which will directly benefit The Lord’s Place and Hospitality Helping Hands.
The chairman of the group says it’s in their DNA to help people in need.
Chef John Carlino said, “We’re a professional organization of chefs so if we can help contribute, we have great relationships with the food distributors that will help our dollars go a little further. So by us helping to make a donation that will help feed some people, that’s what we do on a daily basis.”
