PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — Tri-County Animal Rescue in suburban Boca Raton took in more than 50 dogs at the beginning of April from Alabama and Puerto Rico.
Now those animals are getting ready to be adopted, and the shelter needs volunteer groomers to get the dogs looking their best.
"Just because there are so many and it is nice to get them nice and clean before they go home and makes them feel better," said rescue coordinator Paul Motz.
Tri-County Animal Rescue said they would like anyone who is currently a dog groomer or has experience grooming to offer any help.
Some of the dogs rescued from the Alabama kill shelter are already up for adoption.
