PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A Palm Beach County teacher is being honored by a Grammy award-winning singer on Instagram in a special event Thursday night!
Chance the Rapper is launching “The Twilight Awards” to recognize and celebrate teachers who have shown "dedication, originality and creativity" in helping students thrive.
The event is part of Teacher Appreciation Week to thank teachers for everything they do each day.
During three live broadcasts this week on Chance the Rapper's Instagram page, he is donating school supplies and making other donations to educators.
A news release states that a teacher from Timber Trace Elementary School in Palm Beach Gardens will receive an award during the Thursday night broadcast, which starts at 8 p.m.
The Palm Beach County School District said Chance will honor three teachers, and the Timber Trace Twilight Award recipient will be announced around 8:40 p.m.
