Jamie Ostroff

WPTV

Chief Investigative Reporter

Jamie Ostroff joined WPTV in January 2024. She came to South Florida from WCMH, the NBC affiliate in Columbus, Ohio.

Jamie was born and raised in the Washington, D.C. area. Her roots in the nation's capital form the foundation of her passion for government and policy, public affairs, culture and justice. That passion has led her through newsrooms in Idaho, Florida, Alabama and Louisiana, where she learned firsthand that a well-told story can ignite compassion, bring a community together and make a real impact.

Jamie's reporting has brought change to the communities she's covered, appeared in documentaries such as HBO's "BS High," and earned numerous professional accolades, including an Emmy Award and multiple nominations.

A graduate of the University of Miami, Jamie earned her degree in broadcast journalism in 2009. In 2021, she received her master's degree in legal studies from the Pepperdine University Caruso School of Law.

As passionate as Jamie is about her job, she's got a few other interests, too. Jamie is a trivia buff who loves Pilates, rooting for "The U," and exploring all that South Florida has to offer with her husband and their dog, Pippa.
