WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — As clean up efforts continue for Southeast after Hurricane Isaias, the National Hurricane Center (NHC) is monitoring a weak disturbance in the eastern Atlantic.
According to Tuesday morning's tropical outlook, an area of low pressure is located a few hundred miles west of the Cabo Verde Islands and continues to produce a large but disorganized area of showers and thunderstorms.
Chances are becoming unlikely for tropical development as upper-level winds are forecast to be too strong for further organization later today.
Regardless, it will still bring heavy rain to the Cabo Verde Islands with isolated flooding possible.
The NHC gives this disturbance a 10% chance of tropical development through the next 48 hours.
No impacts to Florida or the United States are expected.
The WPTV First Alert Weather team will continue to monitor the tropics and provide updates as new information becomes available.
