Martin County officials to discuss Hurricane Dorian preparations

Martin County officials will give an update Thursday night on preparations for Hurricane Dorian.

A news conference is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. at the Martin County Emergency Operations Center.

Earlier on Thursday, Palm Beach County officials urged residents to get prepared by making a hurricane kit and knowing your evacuation zone.

Gov. Ron DeSantis has expanded a state of emergency to include all 67 counties in Florida, which allows local governments and emergency management agencies to have time, resources, and flexibility to get prepared.
