WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — Millions of Floridians out of work are now looking for a new job.

Reworking a resume or updating social media can be intimidating and confusing however, a program helps guide people through the process.

Christina Romelus said she is starting her job search with confidence after going through the Professional Placement Network program with CareerSource of Palm Beach County.

"It really gives you an opportunity to compete in this world right now," said Romelus.

"I feel this is the best my resume has ever been," said Paul Hamaty, who went through the three-day workshop.

He received help with his resume and online footprint.

Program manager Eustis Fagan said the program takes inventory on what you have to offer, where you want to go and puts it all into a resume and social media brand that will stand out to recruiters.

"We are the Match.com of employment," said Fagan.

One of the best things about the service is that it is free.

"This is that bold move that you will make to help you stand out and make people notice you," said Romelus.

With millions of people now unemployed, Romelus said this program helps you stand out and prepare to get back to work.

"You have to have those pieces in place and in line," said Romelus.

Fagan said people can sign up through CareerSource or Employ Florida and the workshop can be offered virtually.
