Woman fatally shot at vigil in Pompano Beach

POMPANO BEACH, Fla. -- A woman was fatally shot during a vigil in Pompano Beach on Friday.

The Broward County Sheriff's Office (BSO) says 35-year-old Marge Armande of Deerfield Beach was attending a vigil Friday at approximately 10 p.m. near the 200 block of NE First Avenue.

According to BSO, Armande was shot during an altercation between two other people.

She was transported to Broward Health North by Pompano Beach Fire Rescue, where she was pronounced deceased.
