MIAMI — After playing Miami police officers in the "Bad Boys" movies, actors Will Smith and Martin Lawrence now have real police badges courtesy of the city.

Smith and Lawrence were among the stars who attended the "Bad Boys For Life" premiere in Miami Beach on Sunday.

While in town, the movie's two stars received a key to the city of Miami and were named honorary police officers by Mayor Francis Suarez and Miami Chief of Police Jorge Colina.

"They’ve earned their police badges and are always welcome here in Miami," the Miami Police Department tweeted.

This is the third film in the movie franchise which stars Smith and Lawrence as two Miami detectives fighting crime in the Magic City. The movie opens Friday.
