A clerk and customer took action after a would-be robber tried to rob a store at gunpoint in Miami-Dade County.
Surveillance video shows the suspect, identified as Javon Maurice Reddick, 47, of Miami, storm into a Coral Gables convenience store early Saturday morning.
Concealing his face with a camouflage-hooded jacket, police said Reddick demanded the customers and employee to get on the floor and empty their pockets.
Officers said Reddick threatened to shoot them if they did not comply.
The video shows customers then confronting Reddick, punching him repeatedly and holding him until Coral Gables police arrived and took him into custody.
Reddick is charged with armed robbery and possession of a weapon while committing an offense.
