Believe it or not. A study released Thursday says Florida drivers are the second best in the nation!
The insurance company QuoteWizard said they sifted through various incidents for each state including accidents, speeding tickets, DUI, citations and fatalities.
Based on this data, Rhode Island had the best drivers. Florida had the second-best driving record in the U.S. and actually had fewer citations than Rhode Island.
QuoteWizard said one thing that hurt Florida in the rankings was that nearly 24 percent of drivers in the Sunshine State don’t have vehicle insurance.
The study said that good drivers in Orlando, Hialeah and Miami in that order helped Florida take the No. 2 ranking.
Utah, California and Virginia had the worst drivers, according to the study.
