Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School freshman Mattie hid in a cabinet and looked through the crack in the door as she watched the gunman run by.
She said she hung from a shelf so nobody could see her feet from the hallway for over 30 minutes.
Eventually, as Mattie was evacuated from the third-floor freshman building, she said she saw several bodies splattered with blood on the floor.
One of those bodies was her friend she was making Valentine's Day hearts with earlier in the day.
Today we experiencing the worst of humanity as an unspeakable tragedy has hit our @browardschools family at Marjory Stoneman Douglas HS. There has been a shooting on campus with injuries and fatalities. We are working with law enforcement as we pray for our babies and families.
