NASA has launched an Atlas V rocket from Cape Canaveral on Friday morning.
The launch occurred at 8:30 a.m., sending a tracking and data relay satellite orbiting 22,300 miles above Earth.
The satellite will provide near-constant communication links between the ground and orbiting satellites, such as Hubble and the International Space Station.
