One of Florida’s most popular grocery stores beat out some major U.S. companies in a new consumer survey.
Lakeland-based Publix earned the No. 3 spot in a Harris Poll reputation study.
Publix beat out heavy weights Apple, Disney, Google and Netflix among a host of others. Amazon took the No. 1 spot followed by New York-based supermarket chain Wegmans.
The Harris Poll Reputation Quotient “measures the reputations of the most visible companies in the U.S., as perceived by the general public.”
The poll factors in 20 items including social responsibility, vision and leadership, financial performance, workplace environment, emotional appeal, products and service.
