While Trent Johnson was jogging last Thursday, he said he saw what he described as a gray blob.
But when Trent got closer, he realized it was an alligator.
Gators are often seen at a near-by retention pond that is surrounded by a high chain-link fence, but alligators can climb. And that's how this guy likely got on the school track.

Trent says he got 2 to 3 feet away from it but explains why he wasn't scared.
"It didn't look like it was going to go after me to injure me," said Trent.
The school showed the gator video to all of the students, and told them if they see one to stay away and tell an adult.
