A 76-year-old Clewiston man died in a crash Friday afternoon in Belle Glade.
Investigators with the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office say Ramon Caridad Gonzalez was driving a 2003 Chevrolet Silverado northbound in the 13000 block of US Highway 27 at 12:26 p.m. when, for an unknown reason, he drove off the right side of the road, striking a guard rail.
Following the impact, his truck continued past the guard rail and into a canal.
Gonzalez was reported missing on Wednesday.
Detectives with Opa Locka police located the crash site and a PBSO Marine Unit located the vehicle and driver.
