PORT ST. LUCIE, Fla. - A Port St. Lucie Police Officer has been arrested, according to Homeland Security.

Homeland Security arrested Officer Michael Harding Tuesday, but has yet to reveal what charges he is facing.

Workers at the St. Lucie County Jail say Harding is currently being processed through their system, but could not say what charges he is facing.

Homeland Security says he will be in Federal Court Wednesday morning in Fort Pierce.

Port St. Lucie Police say they will be speaking about the arrest sometime Wednesday.

WPTV records show Harding was awarded Officer of the Year in 2011 in Fort Pierce before he switched employment to work at the Port St. Lucie Police Department in 2012.
