There were some tense moments Wednesday afternoon for Port St. Lucie police after a domestic dispute led to a high speed chase.
Police say it ended when the suspect, 22 year-old Dustin Seal, drove into a ditch at Fairway Avenue and Airoso Boulevard.
It started across town about 15 minutes earlier when police say Siel rammed a car that was parked in his mother’s driveway and then drove his car into the garage.
He took off in a red Toyota before officers arrived.
They eventually caught up with Siel and tried to pull him over but he refused to stop and led them on a chase, police say.
During the chase, police say Siel drove into oncoming traffic, forcing a motorcyclist to lay down his bike to avoid a head-on collision.
The chase ended when Siel lost control of his car, according to investigators.
“We felt we needed to get him stopped before he hurt somebody or hurt himself,” Port St. Lucie Sgt. Frank Sabol said.
“Long story short, I got a baby mama in Massachusetts who left me and my mom doesn’t want nothing to do with me,” Siel said.
Siel faces a number of charges including aggravated assault.
No one was seriously hurt.
