ST. LUCIE COUNTY, Fla. — Traffic is flowing again on Florida’s Turnpike in St. Lucie County after an SUV, being pulled by a recreational vehicle, caught fire late Tuesday morning.

FDOT said a red Cadillac Escalade caught fire at about 11:11 a.m. near mile marker 141, closing all northbound lanes for multiple hours.

Traffic cameras showed a large amount of smoke coming from the vehicle while crews arrived to put out the flames.

FHP Lt. Yanko Reyes said no one was hurt.

All lanes were back open by 2:30 p.m.
