Man killed in Fort Pierce hit-and-run crash ID'd

UPDATE: Police identified the man killed in a hit-and-run crash in Fort Pierce Sunday night as 31-year-old Kevin Snyder of White City.

Traffic Homicide Investigators believe Snyder was walking when he was hit by the suspect's vehicle, that was traveling north on Oleander Avenue, approximately between 8 p.m. and 8:10 p.m.

Officials are searching for a silver or gold vehicle with front-end damage on the passenger side.

Anyone with information that will lead to the identity of the driver or the location of the vehicle involved is asked to contact 911 immediately.

EARLIER STORY:

Fort Pierce police said a man was killed in a hit-and-run crash Sunday night.

The incident occurred in 4100 block of Oleander Blvd. at 8:10 p.m.

The 4100 block of Oleander Boulevard south of Tumblin Kling Road was closed for about two hours after the wreck.

Police have not released information on what type of car hit the man, whose name has not been released.

No other details were immediately available.
