DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — The 51st Delray Beach St. Patrick’s Day Parade will be held Saturday.
The Delray Beach Fire Department took over as organizers the year.
The festivities will kick off Friday night with a variety of events in the festival's new location, the Delray Tennis Center.
The city will start to block off Atlantic Avenue from W. 8th Avenue to A1A around 10 a.m. Saturday. People should expect the road to be closed until 6 p.m. The parade will start at 2 p.m. and go until 4 p.m. along Atlantic Avenue.
There are two parking garages and lots, but police are encouraging people to take an Uber or carpool.
Drinking on St. Patty's Day? There will be lots of DBPD officers on duty. Use a ride share service. It's much cheaper than a DUI, the consequences of which can last a lifetime, and a DUI conviction will stay on your driving record for 75 years. #NeverDriveImpaired #StPatricksDay pic.twitter.com/T1VmB034Zh
