DELRAY BEACH, Fla. — A Delray Beach man is facing federal charges he recruited and housed young women for prostitution across South Florida.
William Foster appeared before a federal magistrate Friday in West Palm Beach says he is looking for an attorney.
Court papers say Foster used deceit, manipulation, and fear of physical harm and focused on recruiting women from group homes, shelters, and exotic dance venues.
Some of the women, court documents say, were minors.
Federal agents say Foster lured the women with displays of a fun and wealthy lifestyle with fancy cars and designer clothes.
Investigators also say Foster put the women on lemon diets and paid for cosmetic surgeries.
Three victims are cooperating with authorities.
