UPDATE:
EARLIER:
A group of children in Delray Beach say they are not getting to enjoy one of their favorite spots to cool off.
Laylah King, Zion King, Josiah Gray, and Machai King took their concerns straight to the city commission.
The group of children are asking Delray Beach city leaders to change the hours at Pompey Park Pool from closing at 5 p.m. to 8.p.m.
"Mothers and fathers don't get off work until five and kids want to go to the pool at five," said Laylah King.
Zion King spoke before commissioners at Tuesday’s meeting and pleaded their case.
"The mayor said she would look into it and she would get back to me next week," said King.
The kids also asked for more activities like basketball or volleyball.
Back in 2010, Delray had Summer Splash Hours where they extended the hours at Pompey Park Pool.
WPTV will let you know if the city makes any changes.
