BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — CBD oil, which typically comes from hemp, created headlines after a woman was arrested at Disney World for carrying the oil. Charges were later dropped.
“Right now is the "Wild, Wild West" of CBD, you can find it at the corner store and gas stations,” said manager Edwin Diaz of Your CBD Store in Boynton Beach.
Diaz said when buying products the best way to know what is inside them is to ask: “You want to ask or a certificate of analysis, a lab report.”

Several experts, including a Consumer Report, recommend asking for a certificate of analysis, or a COA. The COA will tell you exactly what is in the CBD product you are buying.
“The biggest thing, when they walk through the doors, is that it doesn’t have any THC, any in it,” said Diaz.
THC is illegal in Florida unless you have a medical marijuana card. The COA is voluntary and is done by a third party.
“I want something that will work out for me the best way possible,” said customer Melissa Singer.
She said she will always ask for a COA to make sure she knows what is inside the product she buys.
