A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries after a crash Monday night in Boynton Beach involving a driver that fled the scene.

Police said the wreck occurred around 9:37 p.m. in the 1200 block of South Seacrest Blvd.

The motorcyclist, identified as Sean M. Christianson, 37, of Boynton Beach was heading northbound on South Seacrest Boulevard in the right lane.

Police said it appears a Jeep Patriot possibly made a left turn in front of the Christianson's 2008 Suzuki. This caused Christianson to lay the motorcycle down prior to hitting the vehicle.

The driver did not stop after the crash.

The Jeep could have damage to the driver side and should be missing the rocker panel from the driver side, according to investigators.

Police said there are no witnesses to the wreck, and there is no driver description at this time.

Christianson was taken to Delray Medical Center in stable condition.
