BOYNTON BEACH, Fla. — The Florida Highway Patrol said a Riviera Beach man died in a two-vehicle crash involving a Road Ranger vehicle overnight on an Interstate 95 exit in Boynton Beach.

Officials said a 2015 Chevy Malibu, driven by Dermaine Williams, 42, was traveling northbound at 12:09 a.m. Tuesday on the Interstate 95 exit ramp to Gateway Boulevard.

A Road Ranger driving an Isuzu pickup truck was stopped on the inside shoulder northbound on I-95 at the exit, facing northbound.

FHP said Williams failed to maintain control of the Malibu and traveled off the road to the left.

The car struck the concrete barrier wall multiple times while rotating counterclockwise.

The rear of Malibu struck the back of the Road Ranger's vehicle.

Williams was pronounced dead at the scene. Two passengers in the car, a 32-year-old woman and a 57-year-old woman, both from Riviera Beach, were hurt in the wreck.

The 32-year-old woman is in critical condition at Delray Beach Medical Center. The 57-year-old woman is in serious condition at Delray Beach Medical Center.

The 28-year-old driver of the Road Ranger vehicle received minor injuries.

Charges are pending in the crash.
