BOCA RATON, Fla. — Police arrested two men after they said multiple shots were fired from the roof of a condominium Thursday afternoon.
The incident took place at 800 Jeffery St. at the Portabella South Town House Condominiums.
Police had originally said no shots were fired, but a probable cause affidavit states otherwise.
Earlier in the week, police said there had also been reports of shots fired from this location Monday, which they investigated, but no one was arrested.
However, a similar incident occurred Friday, prompting police to return to the condominium.
A suspect in the case, Ryan Mullen, 23, of Boca Raton, told police Friday he had grabbed his father's Glock 19 handgun from a closet, kicked in a door, went to the roof and fired multiple shots in the air.
Mullen, who lives at the condos, said there was no intention of shooting at anyone.
He was arrested and faces multiple charges, including firing a weapon in public, trespassing and property damage.
A second man, Dogukan Kut, 22, of Babylon, New York, was also arrested in the case.
Police said Kut, who Mullen said is his half-brother, admitted being on the roof during the first shooting earlier in the week. Police said Kut also helped kick in the door and access the roof.
Kut faces two counts of trespassing and one count of criminal mischief.
