BOCA RATON, Fla. — The Make-A-Wish Organization and a South Florida university gave a special teen a day to remember.

Tyler Curry, who has cystic fibrosis, threw out the first pitch Tuesday afternoon before the Lynn University Fighting Knights baseball team took on Adelphi University.

He also received a big surprise courtesy of Make-A-Wish Southern Florida.

The organization is sending Tyler and his family to Italy in May! He's wanted to visit there for a while, and is very interested in the country's history and culture.

While in Italy, Tyler will visit the Colosseum, the Vatican, go on a city bus tour, and attend a pizza making class.

Make-A-Wish grants life-changing wishes to children and young adults with life-threatening conditions.
