PALM BEACH COUNTY, Fla. — A 33-year-old Palm Beach County man died Monday morning when his Mercedes-Benz lost control on a wet road in western Boca Raton.
The sheriff’s office said Marcus Joachim, 33, was driving westbound in the 9800 block of Clint Moore Rd. at 8:32 a.m. in the outside lane.
While attempting to merge to the inside lane, his Mercedes-Benz E350 lost traction on the wet road and began to rotate counter clockwise. The PBSO report says the car mounted a median and hit a tree.
Joachim was transported to Delray Community Hospital where he was pronounced dead from injuries sustained in the wreck.
The PBSO report does not state how fast Joachim was traveling at the time of the crash.
