JUPITER, Fla. — A 34-year-old Tequesta man is charged after a fight and shooting Thursday night in Jupiter.

Police said a 19-year-old man was attacked by the suspect, Christopher Talabac, with a tire iron following a verbal altercation.

The victim told police that he discharged his firearm at Talabac, striking him at least once.

Talabac was transported to St. Mary’s Medical Center where he was treated for his injuries and released from the hospital.

Police said Talabac was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and transported to the Palm Beach County Jail.

Investigators said the victim was interviewed and is not facing charges at this time.

Police said this is an ongoing investigation.
