JUPITER, Fla. — The public has the chance to offer comments about the expansion of Virgin Trains USA, previously known as Brightline, from West Palm Beach to Orlando.
On Monday, the public is invited to join representatives from Virgin Trains to learn about plans for Phase II of the $4 billion expansion project including:
•Timing of construction
•Modifications to tracks and intersections
•Reconstruction plans for the Loxahatchee River Bridge
•Safety enhancements along the corridor
•Potential new station locations
•Quiet zone implementation
The train already runs between Miami and West Palm Beach, but Virgin Trains says they expect to expand service to Orlando International Airport by 2022.
During Monday's session, the public will also have an opportunity to ask questions and look at preliminary plans and drawings.
The meeting is from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the Jupiter Community Center located at 200 Military Trail.
