Three crashes occurred Sunday night along Interstate 95 in Martin County.
One wreck involved injuries and caused backups in the southbound lanes near mile marker 96.
A medical helicopter had to land on the interstate to evacuate at least one patient.
Pictures on the Martin County Sheriff's Office Facebook page show one car with severe damage.
No other details have been released.
