The county said the spray seeks to reduce mosquito populations that have increased due to recent rains.
About 62,269 acres west of the Florida Turnpike (zones G and I), including parts of Palm City and Indiantown, will be sprayed.
The county said in the event of poor weather, spraying may occur on an alternate date between Aug.17 and Aug. 19.
