The Martin County Sheriff's Office posted a picture Monday of a deputy rescuing a turtle from a busy road.
The Facebook post said Deputy Ryan Pfeifle saved the distressed soft shell turtle from Cove Road.
The sheriff's office said Pfeifle relocated the turtle to a secluded pond away from the sun and heavy traffic.
