INDIANTOWN, Fla.-- Detectives in Martin County are looking for who pulled the trigger at an outdoor block party over the weekend in Indiantown that sent four people to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Tawan Stewart had organized a big event called Da Swamp Homecoming.

She says it’s a way for people to come back to the Booker Park neighborhood for a happy occasion.

But Sunday morning around 1 a-m, shots rang out.

Her message tonight is for out-of-towners not to bring their problems into her neighborhood.

“We’re a people of love and togetherness and if it was one of my boys I would have whupped your behind and you know that.  All I’m saying is keep that in your hood and I’d appreciate it if we didn’t have that period because someone could have lost their life," Stewart said.

Investigators say none of the injuries was life-threatening.

Stewart says this incident won’t stop her from starting her planning on next year’s event.
