The Florida Highway Patrol needs your help identifying a bicyclist killed Friday evening in Indiantown.

The accident happened near Warfield Boulevard and Indianwood Drive, officials said.

Troopers said the man was riding his bike westbound across Warfield Boulevard and was within a pedestrian crosswalk.

A car traveling northbound hit him and he was pronounced dead on the scene.

Troopers said the man is Latino, in his late 20s or early 30s, he was riding a red and black mountain bike. The man was wearing a white shirt, dark-colored pants and white sneakers.

"It's really sad," said Indiantown resident, Yessica Roblero.

She drove by the crash scene Friday night. It happened less than a mile from where she works.

She worries the victim is someone she knows.

“You know, as I work in a restaurant, we see everybody’s faces. We get used to everybody. Everybody here in town knows each other. To find out who it really is would be a big thing.”

People with information are asked to call the Florida Highway Patrol (954) 837-4012.

The crash remains under investigation.
