Former U.S. Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice spent her day on the Treasure Coast with audiences of all ages.
She began by paying a visit to the Boys and Girls Club in Hobe Sound.
There she took questions from a group of teenagers, while stressing how the club can play a key component in their development.
"She talked about education and really talked about college education and how the Boys and Girls Club was an expansion of learning,” said Boys & Girls Clubs of Martin County Youth of the Year Bridget Duignan.
Rice, who serves on the national board of the Boys & Girls Clubs, then spoke at a fundraising luncheon for the Boys and Girls Club in Stuart.
She was scheduled to finish the day in Vero Beach, delivering two sold out speeches as part of the Riverside Theater Distinguished Lecture Series.
