Persistent, heavy rain Tuesday morning in Martin County dumped closed to 6 inches of rain in some areas. Trained weather spotters reported flooding along Kanner Highway in the Port Salerno area.

The Mariner Sands area south of Stuart received 5.9 inches with Hobe Sound totaling about 4.9 inches.
Westbound lanes of Kanner Highway near Fishermans Cove were shut down earlier due to flooding.
Also, southbound lanes of Willoughby Road had to be closed due to flooding between SE Indian Street and SE Pomeroy Street.
All streets were back open by 11 a.m.

Heavy rain in Palm Beach County caused minor flooding with up to three inches of rain in some locations, with locally higher amounts to near 5 inches possible.
Some locations that experienced flooding included: West Palm Beach, Boynton Beach, Wellington, Jupiter, The Acreage, Royal Palm Beach and Palm Beach Gardens.
