An 11-year-old boy got his first boat ride and a brand new fishing pole courtesy of the Martin County Sheriff’s Office.
The child, C.J. Perez, was using a stick to catch fish until he saved enough money to buy his own rod and reel.
Deputies recently took C.J. along for a ride in their sheriff’s office marine unit.
When their boat ride was over, they surprised him a brand new fishing rod, compliments of Stuart Angler.
