If you are in northern Indian River County and smell smoke there's a good reason.
Controlled burn permits were issued for the Sebastian Buffer Preserve. It's located west of I-95 and North of CR 512 in Fellsmere.
The Florida Forest Service says some residents might see ash in the air.
Fellsmere police posted video of the burn.
The burn was scheduled for all day Friday.
