INDIAN RIVER COUNTY, Fla. — Firefighters have contained a 10-acre brush fire in Indian River County, authorities say.

The sheriff's office said the north and southbound lanes have reopened along 66th Avenue between 69th Street and 77th Street.

According to a battalion chief, the fire broke out on vacant land, and there was no damage to homes or structures.

Crews are now mopping up hot spots.

66th Avenue was shut down for about two hours while Indian River County firefighters worked to contain the flames.
