WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. — A painting by artist and WPTV NewsChannel 5 anchorwoman Ashleigh Walters was sold Wednesday with a winning bid of $11,000.

The painting was up for auction to benefit the WPTV Food for Families drive.

Market Auctions Inc. waived fees and matched the highest bid with a donation of $1,500. The total amount, $12,500, will be donated to WPTV Food for Families.

Jim and Deb Grimwade are loyal WPTV viewers from Palm Beach County and they won the painting. They say they are incredibly grateful for the efforts being made to feed our neighbors, and they are very happy to help the community. They bid on the painting right from the start, and carried it through all 19 bids, until they won it at $11,000.
