WEST PALM BEACH, Fla -- First Seventh Adventist Church in West Palm Beach is a gun-free zone, like most religious institutions, but they are now encouraging their congregation to take an active shooter response training to better prepare themselves in case of an emergency.

This is the first time the church is holding an event like this. However, the pastor says with recent events happening throughout the world they feel this is something that everyone could benefit from.

The church plans to hold another event April 6th. They are asking the community to support them in their efforts to end gun violence, as well as other crimes here locally.
