Shooting, foot pursuit in West Palm Beach

Late Wednesday afternoon West Palm Beach police continued searching by foot and air for someone involved in a shooting at 36th Street and Australian Avenue.

They brought in K9s and blocked Australian from 25th Street to 45th Street.

Police also ended up in a foot pursuit with another person and he has been detained.

Witnesses say they heard several shots from a gray Kia.

“There were 6 shots fired inside the vehicle. 2 people from inside the vehicle got out dragged the body out, put him inside of a blue, what appeared to be IROC Z and took off with the body,” said witness who went by the name Timothy.

The victim had been taken to a hospital before police arrived on the scene.

The victim’s condition has not been released.
